It's a fascinating place on Sunday morning. You need to enjoy being in a crowd and pushing your way through. It's where all the local shop for their food. Me encantó.

Rooster heads, chicken feet, shrimp, mangoes, crab, ice cream beans, embroidery, fish, - this market was one of my favorite experiences around the lake. The tamales were gooey but great- so was the potato empanadas! A real taste of local life. This market surprised me by its winding rooms, vendors on stairways, and so much raw chicken! Lovely people with amazing craftsmanship at low prices. A great place to buy goods. No chocolate though but a town nearby is for that.
