   Highly recommended! The food is unique and the service is outstanding. Just the place to go for a relaxing holidays. The place is surrounded by a lot of nature and has its own orchard from which they harvest their own vegetables and plants. Also is right in front of the lake with direct access with a beautiful dock for taking the best pictures of the lake. Definitely coming back

   What a gem of a place. Our stay at Hotel Tolimán was a little slice of paradise. Their expansive gardens were perfectly maintained and soft grass made for an ideal sunbathing spot. My friend and I rented the hot tub for a few hours each night; it’s tucked away and private--perfect for a relaxing debrief of the day’s adventures 🥭🌵🌊🌼 Each morning we enjoyed a delicious, traditional breakfast, “desayuno chapin” of scrambled eggs, refried black beans, queso fresco, fried plantains, and chirmol (tomato salsa). The fruit juice was fresh and sweet. Not to mention the view 🤩 The staff were all helpful and friendly and provided excellent service. The grounds were quiet yet lively, even at night. We felt safe and at ease. The town itself is not touristy at all; mostly locals and local businesses so no one really speaks English outside the hotel. There are only a few other restaurants around. The hotel is the hub of tourists of all origins, and everyone was very friendly. Just a heads up to those who plan on visiting different lakeside towns daily--plan ahead and around the boat schedules! To reach other towns around the lake, you have to get to the main boat launch in Panajachel then catch another boat from there. There are only a few boats that go to and from the hotel a day; however the front desk staff is super helpful and will provide a schedule for you!

   We had breakfast here and had a good meal, I had a typical american breakfast and the rest of my family had the traditional Guatemala breakfast. You can take some great pictures and videos from the outside restaurant.

   Such lovely views and friendly staff. I had the best breakfast here, affordable and with fresh fruit from their allotment. Highly recommend. Oh and the swimming pool is lovely!

   The perfect stay! Beautiful old coffee hacienda in a less touristic part of the lake. Gorgeous views from the restaurant. Few vegetarian options and organic ingredients from their garden. Even better, the project is a social enterprise. Chati and Juanita took over the business more than 10 years ago to save local jobs and use their profits to fund a women shelter in town.
