   La Cocina at Lush is part of the hotel, and it’s truly a beautiful space. The atmosphere is one of its strongest qualities -- full of plants, greenery, and thoughtfully arranged tables. It feels calm, fresh, and very inviting. The food was excellent. I ordered the Leche de Tigre ceviche, which was absolutely delicious -- fresh, well-balanced, and full of flavor. We also ordered a seafood tostada that was very good. Even the infused water with lavender and mint stood out, adding a refreshing and special touch to the experience. Another plus is that the place is quiet, has internet connection, and accepts credit cards, which is convenient in San Marcos. The only thing to note is that the service is slow. It seems they operate with only one or two servers. We were there mainly for appetizers, and even those took some time. I noticed other guests also commenting about the wait. However, since we were not in a rush, it allowed us to relax, enjoy the atmosphere, have a conversation, and fully appreciate the setting. If you visit, just come with time and patience -- the flavors and environment are definitely worth it.

   A beautiful and delicious restaurant inside Lush in San Marcos. The staff are so lovely and kind. They go above and beyond to give you such a wonderful meal and stay. The food is all beyond incredible, locally sourced and very nutritious! The matchas and avocado toast were my favourites!

   if you come, you should absolutely get the leche de tigre ceviche! i’ve gone back twice to order it again-- it is incredible! the setting is beautiful-- giving you the choice to be upstairs, nestled between the tree canopies or in the garden below. the only downside/retractor is the service is a bit slow, but everyone we have met is very friendly and kind. highly recommend!

   They only had one person doing everything--seating guests, taking orders, making drinks, and serving food. We were first seated in a very dark area, and after asking, they moved us, but even then the food took almost an hour to arrive, and by then we lost our appetite. The food was okay but not impressive. The atmosphere was good, but the overall service really needs improvement.

   Always love being at La Cocina at Lush. Hands down best Matcha and Cacao in San Marcos. My favorite plates: The fluffy gluten free vegan pancakes, and Tiox Bowl for breakfast - a new take on the Guatemalan tipico. Daytime refreshment with the wild caught Sea Bass Ceviche or Buddha Bowl (I like to add two poached eggs to it). For dinner my favorite is the Homemade Mushroom Broth with ginger and rice noodles. Perfect for when it cools down at night. Yum!! One of the only places in town that only uses healthy oils for cooking and frying - no canola oil!! It’s always one of my marks when eating out. My favorite seating spot is in the garden surrounded by the serenity of the plants.
