   This is the first place you see when you arrive to the village & it’s worth a stop. The young ladies who work here are adorable & so sweet. The food was really good & I loved the indigenous ambiance. We had to pay & run because we didn’t want to miss our water taxi. When we looked back, the young girls who worked there had ran behind us to watch us leave. It was the cutest thing ever. It touched my heart to see that they were equally as intrigued by us as we were of them. 🩵

   This is a family-run restaurant. This time, we asked locals for the best place to have lunch, and three different people recommended this spot! It seems well-supported by the community. The restaurant is located right on the beach, offering a great view. However, it is very local, so be prepared for that! Expect dirty tablecloths, underage waitstaff, and questionable food safety. We had guacamole, tortillas, and carne. The tortillas were hard as bricks, the guacamole was freshly made but bland (only onion and barely smashed avocado), and the meat was overcooked and tough to chew. The lemonade was the typical sugary kind. For local businesses to gain support, they need to strive for better quality.

   Don't come here. The food is over cooked, bland and waaay over priced - as are the drinks. The margaritas were so salty they were inedible. Also watch your bill carefully, the woman at the till tried to charge an extra 20$ for our drinks.

   We were offered a menu to look at by one of the girls and since it was lunchtime anyway, we said, okay. We don't regret it at all 🙂 Perhaps we should have sat inside coz it was breezy that day but we wanted the lakeview. It was still nice. Service was great, our server was very nice and cheery. The food was yummy. Oooh I loved their pepian I got. I wanted thigh part but they only served breast part and it was tender. Go try it! Overall, a good place to try if you like lakeside dining at Santa Catarina 👍

   Decent food as commonly served in this type of places. Disappointing was the final bill. They charged us 40% more than the prices on the menu. Even a high service charge cannot explain this. It's a pity that they spoil their image this way.
