   What a Great restaurant! We had a wonderful lunch this afternoon. The food / the drinks and the staff were excellent. To eat at such a nice terrace and with the best view over Lake Atitlan made it very special! Muchos gracias

   I had my birthday dinner here and the food and views are amazing. Our waiter Danilo (hope that’s how you spell it) was extremely attentive and made just the right recommendations. The Shrimp was phenomenal and the steak was delicious! The veggies tasted like real veggies and if you’re from the US you’ll appreciate that. The drinks were another highlight and the tram to get to the restaurant is totally Jurassic Park-esque. A very short Tuk Tuk ride to get there and a wonderful Birthday dinner.

   This spot is such a hidden treasure, located just across the street from Casa Palopó. The restaurant is modern yet beautifully designed with great attention to detail. I ordered the 1lb steak and the pesca del día (fish of the day), and both were absolutely outstanding--flavorful, perfectly prepared, and beyond my expectations. Truly couldn’t have asked for more! The service was excellent as well. Jonathan and Henry were attentive, professional, and friendly throughout the meal. Jonathan mentioned that the restaurant has only been open for about a year and a half, which surprised me--it deserves to be much better known. At the same time, I’m glad to have discovered this little secret; it feels like my own hidden ajit (spot) that I almost don’t want to share! After lunch, I headed down to the shore where there was live music with a gorgeous lake view. The relaxed, chill atmosphere made the whole experience even more memorable. I truly enjoyed this place and will definitely be back soon!

   Wow. This restaurant is incredible. We were staying in Santa Catarina and walked the 15 minutes to get here. There is a lift to get down to the restaurant from the main road else it is about 5-10 minute walk down steps. We tried the tacos and flank steak and both were delicious. The chips were also so yummy with chirmol and pepper sauce. That chirmol sauce wow, I don’t know what’s in it but it’s incredible. I’d consider coming back to Guatemala just for those chips and sauce alone…. Review from my friend who had the tacos was “I’ve never had food that tasted that good” We came once the sun had set, but I wish it wasn’t cloudy so we could be in the restaurant for sunset because the views would be fab. This place may be a little out of the way but definitely worth the trip. If you need a tuk tuk it takes around 25 minutes for it to arrive to the restaurant who are able to book it for you. There weren’t any tuk tuks passing by.

   We saw this on Google as we walked around Santa Catalina Palopa and decided to hoof it. A street dog affectionately followed us the entire way to the front door. We did not have a reservation and were dirty and dusty. But they served us kindly. We had a burger and salad wedges. Very good food. The view of the lake was great. The restaurant was beautiful. The service was top notch. Rather pricey for simple food. But, this is a higher end place. So you should expect that. And, sure enough, as we walked back to the main square in town, our canine friend met up with us again and waited with us until our tuk tuk arrived to take us back to our Air BnB.
