Excellent local food. Best that we have had in Guatemala so far. Nicely presented and very tasty. A must visit when in the Atitlan region. View is spectacular. Check closing times as it doesn't stay open late. Nice gift shop that highlights the weaving products that you can see made on site. All the proceeds support the school which teaches grade school and skills to the local children and adults. Try getting a Tuk Tuk to the top, have your meal and then walk to the bottom along a nice walking path. It actually takes less time walking down. Tip: When leaving the building, turn right and walk to the corner. You will see a paved walkway going downhill on the right, between the buildings. Follow it down (if you're not sure, use Google maps to guide you) the path is paved all the way.

Delicious food, friendly staff and gorgeous views, this place has it all. Worth the hike up the hill for the flavours alone. We were greeted by a smiley kind staff member and made to feel at home instantly. The views of the lake and volcanoes are breathtaking. 10% service charge is added on at the end.

Amazing spot for lunch with a view of the lake. Indoor and outdoor patio seating available. Local dishes on the menu. Particularly liked the balam (pineapple, ginger and chia drink), pepian (kind of like a mole with chicken), and the chocolate mole with plantains dessert. Cute artisan shop under the restaurant. In terms of getting to the restaurant, would recommend getting a tuk tuk for 10Q up to the restaurant from the dock if you are arriving from a different town by boat (not related to the restaurant itself but we were harassed on the way up walking as two women so just noting for tourists planing their visit). Highly recommend getting to eat here!

We came here 3x for the 3 days we were in Santa Cruz and everything we tried was incredible! Drinks: The banana cacao smoothie is next level (they even have soy milk). We got this multiple times and loved it. Balam is great for an upset stomach. The ginger helped my boyfriend a lot! Get the cappacino, you won't regret it. Breakfast: The juevos rancheros was my boyfriends favorite meal of our entire trip in Guatemala! Amigos Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Lunch/Dinner I got the Pepian twice, so warm and nourishing! My boyfriend loved the Publique. We also got the Mayan Bowl which was healthy and filling. Finally, for dessert, the fried plantains and mole! It's a must!! We also tried the Mayan Bowl, Pepian, Amigo Breakfast, Juevos Rancheros, Pepian, Pulique,

Beautiful view and wonderfully kind people work here! We walked up from Santa Cruz and that elevation is no joke--you definitely earn your meal. I tried the Balan which tasted like a pineapple and chia seed smoothie? Husband got the coco y banana and they were both delicious. The Mayan bowl was a bunch of little bites and a good serving of vegetables which were cooked perfectly. The little shop outside has many wonderful gifts and things to bring home! We would come back here.
