Abeja Obrera in San Juan La Laguna blends a honey bee themed experience with restaurant service, featuring large portions and diverse menu options including wings and barbacoa. However, mixed reviews note overpriced specialty beer and inconsistent food quality relative to pricing and hype.

A sublime food joint run by a family. The quality of food, and the service easily tops any restaurant we visited in Guatemala up to date. The dishes and the flavor profiles show the maturity of the chefs and their skills. If you are tired of plantains, beans and tortillas this place is for you :)

The owners have created the most relaxing atmosphere to enjoy their 5-star food. We made reservations (highly recommended!) and ordered the camembert dip, a bacon mushroom pizza and creme brulee to share at the end of the meal. Staff was very attentive to our needs and requests, the chef thanked us personally, every detail, to the music, was spot on! The most luxurious experience we have had in Guatemala!

Me and my boyfriend got the vegetarian panini and the pesto pasta, hands down the BEST food I’ve eaten in Guatemala. We are both foodies and a little snobby when it comes to food, but we kept closing our eyes and “mmming” as we ate. Big portions as well! Absolutely delicious, the staff and atmosphere is amazing too!!
