Abeja Obrera in San Juan La Laguna blends a honey bee themed experience with restaurant service, featuring large portions and diverse menu options including wings and barbacoa. However, mixed reviews note overpriced specialty beer and inconsistent food quality relative to pricing and hype.

What a lovely spot, right off the main street in San Juan. It has 2 sitting areas, downstairs is colorful and airy - upstairs too, but with a nice view of the lake. Great price/quality balance, they have alternatives for all dietary needs. They also carry a great craft beer selection, do try one of the many options by Antigua Cervecería. Additionally they also have a cute souvenir shop downstairs with beautiful wooden carved birds, hangers made with beads and textiles. Super friendly staff too!

Come for the ambiance, stay for the food. I love the vibe of this restaurant with its beautiful decor. It also has an upper deck that overlooks the lake. We ordered the fried fish and chorizo mixed plate, which were both good, but they weren’t out of this world good. Service was excellent. Food 4 stars Ambiance 5 stars Service 5 stars

The atmosphere is pretty nice but not very peaceful because of the cars and tuktuks. They brought both apetizer and main course at the same time which does not make sense. The fish was pretty bad- avoid it, I ate just half of it. Overall average as the service if pretty slow

Best mojarra (fried fish) that I've had in Guatemala! So crispy and delicious that I came back twice. Prices are very reasonable and the have lots of drinks. The restaurant also has a shaded roof top dining area with plenty of AC outlets along the bar overlooking the lake. Free and good WIFI.

Utz Food I Bar & Restaurante Utz Food I Bar & Restaurante San Juan La Laguna During our recent visit to Utz Food I Bar & Restaurante in San Juan La Laguna, our party of three enjoyed a delightful dining experience. We ordered the grilled chicken, grilled fish, and a large house salad accompanied by a sweet potato appetizer. The grilled chicken was flavorful and served with a variety of tasty sides. The grilled fish was equally impressive, reflecting the restaurant's reputation for excellent seafood. The large house salad was fresh and complemented our main dishes perfectly. The sweet potato appetizer was a delightful start to our meal. The service was exceptional; the staff were attentive and friendly, enhancing our overall dining experience. While the menu is slightly limited, each dish is thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The restaurant's ambiance is charming, with a terrace offering views of Lake Atitlán, making it a memorable place to dine.
