Such a lovely place with tasty local food! I’ve been 3x now, twice for dinner and once for lunch and everything has been just perfect. I got the chicken burrito, enchiladas and mushroom quesadilla. Really good portion size! They close earlier (6pm) but they opened up for us the first night later and say if you go while their store is open they will still serve you. Locally owned and run with a pretty view from the terrace above but also seating inside when the wind is strong. Mainly speak Spanish/local language but have an English menu with prices. Nice to support a locally owned business. Everything sweet and easy 😊

I really recommend this restaurant! We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner here during our 3-day stay in Jaibalito. Portions are really big and prices are better than the rest of town, between Q40-60 for a meal. The rooftop terrace has lake views and the ladies working at the restaurants are really nice. It’s an amazing family business!

If I could give 10 starts I would! Are you looking for an authentic guatemalan food experience with amazing views? Then this is the place! Lovely people and prices are really humble. The food is great! I had an omelette for breakfast.

Best food in Guatemala! Been to this amazing restaurant twice now and it never fails to disappoint. Hidden gem restaurant - tucked away down an alley. We are staying at Casa Del Mundo and it is only a 5-10 minute walk away. Well worth the walk. Massive portion sizes and the food is muy delicioso! The people there are lovely. Can’t fault this place. I had the enchiladas vegetariana and my partner had the sopa de pollo and pollo de Milanesa.

A very authentic place where my friends and I grabbed breakfast. Staff was very friendly and there was a homey feel to the restaraunt. Very reasonable prices for the area. It’s a bit difficult to find but that’s what Escondido means after all!

Club Ven Aca in Jaibalito is a lakeside pool venue accessible by boat with beautiful views and reasonably priced food and drinks, though visitors should note that the atmosphere can be marred by excessive alcohol service and inadequate management of guest behavior.
Bistro Indigo in Jaibalito offers Persian cuisine in a stunning lakeside setting with excellent breakfast options like shakshuka and a warm, dog-friendly atmosphere. While breakfast is consistently praised, dinner offerings sometimes disappoint on flavor, making this best suited for the morning meal with panoramic lake and volcano views.
Posada Jaibalito, run by Hans, serves honest homemade cooking with German and local Guatemalan dishes prepared from quality ingredients in a storied, bohemian setting. The place has strong character and community spirit, though first time visitors may find the unconventional atmosphere and eccentric clientele initially disarming.
