We had an absolutely incredible 2-night stay at Anzan Atitlan. The property was designed and built by Dita as a home, and we really felt that intimacy while we were there. The place is beautiful, a haven for birds and is secluded enough to feel incredibly private, while also being an easy walk and even easier boat ride to San Marcos (you can hail public lanchas from the end of Anzan’s jetty). We also really enjoyed the use of the sauna, private massages and paddle boards. The breakfast was also delicious! It was lovely talking to Dita and learning about the history of Anzan and the amazing work they do with the local community.

An incredible experience through and through. Everything from the rooms, the views, to the service. Dita is an incredible host and made everything so easy. It’s such a unique place as it isn’t your traditional hotel or AirBnb -- there’s only a few rooms so it’s an extremely personal experience and feels more like a retreat staying in a private room at someone’s house on the water. You have enough solitude from either of the towns but they’re accessible enough -- either a 20 minute walk to San Marcos, easily take a tuk tuk or take a boat to the further towns. I’d highly recommend this if you’re looking for more of that peaceful serenity and unique vantage point for ridiculous views - I’ve definitely never stayed in a place like this. Extra cost activities that are worth trying: breakfast (so much food, fresh + delicious ingredients), massage, yoga on the roof (if you stay in Room Two), wood fire sauna + plunge OR just jump off the deck into the lake whenever you feel like it 😅 thanks for an incredible experience Dita and I will most definitely be coming back.

Anzan is the only place I will stay when we come back to Lake Atitlan. It is truly stunning and delivers everything you want from a refined, remote luxury stay on the lake, which is rare. We originally booked Sababa in San Pedro since most of the activities we planned were on the south side of the lake. We figured we would spend our last night at Anzan on the north side for some R&R and views of the volcanos. The moment we checked into Sababa, we knew we had made a mistake. We immediately reached out to Dita to see if we could switch over to Anzan, and choosing to move was one thousand percent the right call. Yes, the north side of the lake is quieter, and that is exactly the point. This is where you stay for a calm, zen Lake Atitlan experience. Getting around is still incredibly easy. Lanchas are simple to catch for day trips to explore other villages, and San Marcos is just a five minute tuk tuk ride away for dinner. Do not skip breakfast at Anzan. Make sure to book it with Dita. Breakfast is served with breathtaking volcano views and was some of the best food we had anywhere on the lake. Sadly most of the food on the lake was terrible. Dita was incredible throughout our stay. We felt so well taken care of from start to finish. We will absolutely be back!!

Our stay at Casa Rosada exceeded expectations in so many ways! The house is simply stunning, the views and the location of the property is so spectacular. We stayed in Room 2 and it was the most beautifully decorated suite. The breakfast was incredibly delicious, and we took advantage of the sauna which was an amazing experience by the lake! Dita and her whole team are wonderful, friendly and accommodating, I cannot recommend the property more for a special stay in Atitlan.

Our stay at Anzan was unforgettable. It’s a peaceful lakefront oasis with stunning views, swimming, sauna and incredible food. Dita and her team were so helpful and we loved spending time with her dogs and Victoria the parrot! We would definitely stay here again ❤️
