Absolutely stunning hotel. The jungle suite room was incredible; the bed was comfy, the room was spotless and the gardens were beautiful. The hotel itself has great views and great staff. The food in the restaurant was very good. I will definitely be coming back. Getting a lancha here was initially a bit of a pain. If you're in Panajachel and there's no direct lancha's (and you don't want to pay for a private boat), get a lancha to San Pedro, then a short tuk tuk to a different dock in San Pedro (ask for the Santiago dock) and then you'll arrive in Santiago which is a short tuk tuk ride away from the hotel.

You have to go!!! The hotel is really beautiful and fancy. You would not expect it based on the road to get there by car. We stayed in the igloo-shaped bedroom, which was beautiful and comfortable. The only thing I would add is something in the windows for mosquitoes, because I guess in summer it could be very hot and humid to keep the window closed. Also, it would be great if they gave you some towels for the sauna and jacuzzi, so you don’t have to dry yourself after the shower with a wet towel. In general, 100% recommended!!!

Just checking out after staying 5 days here in pure paradise. The entire staff is friendly and always ready to help. You are always greeted with a smile and they all remember your name. The room was spacious and always clean and great water pressure and temp. We loved using the sauna and had massages in our room. Loved being picked up and dropped off at their private dock. And let me say one more time- Love the staff!!

The walk down the lush garden path to the restaurant each morning was a highlight of my day. The property is beautiful and has stunning lakefront views. I'd recommend staying in the newly built bungalows right near the water. The restaurant is fabulous too! Such an interesting menu with loads of unique dishes, including many vegetarian options.

We ate at the restaurant and the flavors were very rich and the vegetables were all super fresh. It's a lovely spot on the lake and really enjoyed the Tranquility, especially compared to town which is quite busy. They have a page specific for their four vegan offerings and another list of vegetarian options. So while this is not at all a totally plant-based place it is a nice option with a heftier price tag than in town but tranquility that is worthwhile.
