Probably my favourite place I visited in Guatemala. I fell in love with the property, it's got beautiful views, nice staff and great food. Would recommend the veggie burger. I stayed in the Blue Heron room which has its own balcony and kitchenette and I woke up early each morning to watch the sunrises. The lanchas going past made it easy to get around. I stayed over the Christmas period and it was exactly what I wanted. Thank you again.

What a breathtaking sanctuary! The room we had offered a 180 degrees panoramic view of Lake Atitlan and the surrounding volcanos. The room itself was clean, very comfortable and well set out. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The hammock on the private balcony overlooking the lake was a very welcome feature. After the dismal accomodation we suffered through at Hotel Posada Dona Luisa in Antigua, this establishment and the room we had here was like honey for the starving. The level of service we received from Kendra and Kelly was top notch. We enjoyed a number of meals at Maya Moon and while they are not inexpensive the ambience, friendly service and views made it worth while. While no place is perfect, Maya Moon got it more right and are at the top of the hospitality game. Returning to our room with the view we had of the lake after a full day of exploring the townships around the lake felt like returning to a very special haven and sanctuary. Thank you for having us over those four nights.

Hidden gem on the lake. Staff goes above and beyond to make your stay exceptional, especially Kelly. Not to mention the property is absolutely beautiful. They have a great bar/restaurant area and everything is made to order by the locals. Make sure to get the fries and the falafel pizza. Thank you for an amazing stay Maya Moon!

To me this place is perfect: lovely staff, simple rooms that have everything you need and insane views from your private hammock on the balcony, great food and drinks and just a really lovely chilled atmosphere. So easy to get a boat to explore the nearby towns and swimming off the dock was perfect. I stayed three nights, but I think four would have been the perfect amount.

We only had lunch here: 5 adults and 3 little children. Really beautiful spot! But that’s it. Food was very average and took ages to arrive. Fortunately the pizza for the children arrived first after more then 1 hour. The last dish arrived in 1,5 hour when the rest had long finished their dishes. Nobody really seemed to care. Very disappointing experience. Will never visit again!
